Elena Shtereva Yankova was born in 1984 in Sliven. She graduated from the Foreign language school “Zahary Stoyanov” in Sliven with English and German language. After that she studied Indology and graduated from the Centre for Eastern Languages and Cultures at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Elena had a one-year specialization at the Central Institute of Hindi in Agra, India (2007-2008). Her masters’ degree is in translating and editing in English and Hindi, in the Faculty of Slavic Studies (2012). Currently she is a home working mother – an editor of a magazine and a website content writer.
Nikolay Yankov was born in 1984 in Sofia. His bachelor’s degree is in Indology studies at the Centre for Eastern Languages and Cultures of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He had a one-year specialization at the Central Institute of Hindi in Agra, India (2007-2008). Nikolay’s master’s degree is in Indo-Iranian Social and Cultural Studies (2013). Currently he has been pursuing his PhD degree in the Indology Department. He teaches Hindi and Sanskrit.
In their free time Elly and Nicky like to travel and explore new places, rediscovering the world with their son Alexi.
